About the Event

Research-sector organisations both use and create a large amount of open-source software, but there is no systematic approach to this. Open Source Program Offices (OSPOs) can provide such a systematic approach. The ARDC is currently seeking expressions of interest from organisations interested in taking the initial steps to set up an OSPO.

In this webinar, Sayeed Choudhury, Director of Open Source Programs Office (OSPO) at Carnegie Mellon University, will give an overview of what an OSPO is and how to set one up.

Speaker

Sayeed has over 25 years of experience with digital strategy and infrastructure for open data and open-source software. He brings a proven track record with establishing vision, inspiring and leading diverse teams, building relationships equitably and inclusively, and securing funds to create change across an entire sector.
