About the Event

Hosted by Australasian eResearch Organisations (AeRO), eResearch Australasia is the premiere event for those interested in eResearch and actively transforming research via information technology.

Held in Melbourne/Naarm at the Pullman Albert Park, the conference will provide an exciting opportunity for delegates to engage, connect and share their ideas and exemplars concerning new information-centric research capabilities, and how ICT technologies can help researchers to collaborate, collect, manage, share, process, analyse, find, understand and reuse information.

By attending the conference, you will learn from national and international experts, network with like-minded professionals, and meet with industry suppliers.

Program Overview

The main program will run from Tuesday 29 October to Thursday 31 October. Keynote speakers include:

  • Professor Liz Sonenberg, Chair, National Research Infrastructure Advisory Group
  • Emeritus Professor Joe Shapter, Member, National Research Infrastructure Advisory Group and Chair, National Digital Research Infrastructure Working Group
  • Professor Franciska de Jong, Professor of eResearch for the Humanities, Utrecht University
  • Dr Katharine Michie, Australian scientist specializing in structural biology, biochemistry, and biophysics
  • Dr Kerstin A Lehnert, Doherty Senior Research Scientist, Marine and Polar Geophysics, Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO)
  • Dr Sarah Pearce, SKA-Low Telescope Director
  • Matt Buys, Executive Director, DataCite.

The ARDC is delivering presentations, Birds of a Feather (BoF) sessions and posters on a variety of topics:

Pre- and post-conference workshops will be held on Monday 28 October and Friday 1 November.
