About the Event
The ARCOS Symposium aims to bring those involved in the Australian Research Container Orchestration Service (ARCOS) and other interested parties together to facilitate community building, discuss group use cases in greater detail, and learn about the solutions and services being implemented.
The ARDC invites you to participate in these discussions and help us develop national capabilities in building reproducible and scalable digital research outputs using containers and Kubernetes.
Program and Highlights
Join us for a one-day event in person or online for presentations, discussions and professional networking, and help us shape the future of the ARCOS community. Talks will cover:
- Kubernetes cluster lifecycle management using the ClusterAPI
- research project talks on Kubernetes implementation
- containers use cases on HPC infrastructure
- industry or CNCF topics.
Participants will have opportunities to:
- hear from research groups and organisations across Australia and internationally on how they are using containers and Kubernetes
- meet experts and make new connections, and join the community of people who are working in containers and Kubernetes for research
- contribute to the design of new services, and help shape community activities like training and expertise sharing.

As this session is hybrid, the audience will have ample opportunity to participate in in-person discussions and professional networking.
About ARCOS
Australian Research Container Orchestration Service (ARCOS) is a community driven by various national institutions with the aim of establishing a national Kubernetes service and promoting use of containers in research.
The ARCOS Community Group and the ARCOS Technical Working Group meet quarterly via online conferencing. If you are based in Australia and are interested in or actively working on solutions in this space, we strongly encourage you to join the community.
