About the Event

We’ve seen substantial international momentum towards open science in the past couple of years. Key initiatives include UNESCO’s Open Science Recommendation, the OECD Recommendation on Access to Research Data from Public Funding, the APEC Open Science statement, and the G20 Science ministers support for open science.

In Australia, there has been growing interest in open science initiatives, and many research institions and organisations have taken steps to promote open science practices. However, there is still much work to be done to advance these initiatives and ensure that they are strategically adopted across the research community.

We invite researchers, scientists and all interested stakeholders to join us in exploring ways to advance open science initiatives in Australia.

This first webinar will include an introduction to key international initiatives in open science, and provide an opportunity for discussion on strategies to advance these initiatives in Australia.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with meeting log-in details.

We look forward to seeing you at the webinar!
