23rd Research Data Alliance (RDA) Plenary

About the Event

The 23rd Research Data Alliance (RDA) Plenary will be held in San José, Costa Rica in a hybrid format with in-person and online participation with theme ‘Sustainable Science’.   

The Costa Rican capital sits in the middle of the country in the Central Valley. Surrounded by untouched cloud forests, it is considered a traditional Central American city and a cosmopolitan urban city. It is home to solid history and culture, outstanding architecture and friendly locals.

Hosted by Consejo Nacional de Rectores (CONARE) in collaboration with Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR), Tecnológico de Costa Rica (TEC), Universidad Nacional (UNA), Universidad Estatal a Distancia (UNED), Universidad Técnica Nacional (UTN), the 3-day hybrid conference will bring together leaders from around the world to tackle some of the biggest data challenges and questions we face today, share new ideas and explore best practices in using data.

The ARDC will be in Costa Rica and online presenting and promoting International Data Week 2025.

Registration

Virtual registration for the Plenary is open from now until the last day of the conference on Thursday 14 November.

Co-located events will be held in person on Monday 11 November and Friday 15 November between 8 am and 4 pm Costa Rican time. The local hosts of the Plenary can assist with co-located events planning.

The local hosts and the RDA have secured additional funding to support low- and middle-income country (LMIC) attendees. The grant covers a full or partial financial contribution towards in-person or virtual registration fees.
