On 6 February 2024, the NCRIS Facilities convened in person at the Translational Research Institute (TRI) in Brisbane to showcase the services propelling therapeutic discoveries and facilitating research translation.

The event was hosted by Therapeutic Innovation Australia (TIA), the University of Queensland (UQ) and the Translational Research Institute (TRI) and featured facilities supported by the Australian Government’s National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS). NCRIS gives researchers access to equipment, data, services and expertise to enable world-leading research for the benefit of all Australians.

The seminar showcased extensive NCRIS facilities and services that propel therapeutic discoveries, foster collaboration, and ultimately facilitate research translation into tangible results and funding opportunities.

The ARDC’s Director of National Coordination, Natasha Simons, shared the ARDC People Research Data Commons, which is delivering national-scale data infrastructure for health research and translation. She highlighted the availability of the new Health Data Australia portal for researchers to discover and request access to clinical trial data for their research.

The seminar presented a great opportunity for researchers and small businesses to learn about extensive NCRIS world-class national research infrastructure, capabilities, and services, the co-designing process and how to advance research projects.
