Steve was an ecologist and resource manager before joining ANU, where he was an inaugural ANU Public Policy Fellow. A Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences, he’s affiliated with the Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC and is a Senior Associate with Aither.

Joanna is the Monash Data Futures Institute Director, bringing together data science and AI capabilities from across Monash. An exceptional thought leader, she’s passionate about the benefits of AI in driving lasting and transformative change for social good.

High-performance research computing (HPC), research data pratices, shared research infrastructure services

Luc is a nationally recognised subject matter expert in high-performance research computing (HPC), research data pratices, and shared research infrastructure services. He is Vice-President of Australasian eResearch Organisations (AeRO) and co-chair of the eResearch Australasian peak annual conference. He is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer in UNSW Faculty of Medicine Centre for Big Data and has been a Visiting Scientist with the Data61 Visual Analytics Team at CSIRO. He has held director-level roles for 15 years in higher education ICT and eResearch. Luc is currently the Executive Director Research Technology Services at UNSW, a shared services function that he established. Recently, Luc has been working with colleagues to regularly count how many HPC cores and research data there are in Australia and New Zealand.

Greg is the Chief Executive Officer of CAUDIT. He has over 25 years’ experience in higher education, having held technical and management roles in IT, infrastructure, security and project management. He previously served over a decade in the Australian Department of Defence – Army, focusing on electronics, radio communication and cypher.

Clare is CEO of SmartCrete CRC, helping to transition concrete for a sustainable Australia. Clare has extensive CRC expertise, having been involved in CRCs as an industry and research participant, CRC manager and government program manager. She is an agile practitioner, passionate about unlocking collaborative potential by bringing together world-leading research and industry specialists to solve real-world problems.
