The high level elements contained in the ARDC Strategic Overview need to be translated into a set of activities that the ARDC is seeking to undertake in a partnership model. The framework for this translation is the impact methodology developed by CSIRO .
This discussion document, released October 2018, reflects the current outputs of the ongoing ARDC strategic planning activity. It is a strawperson outlining the proposed vision, mission, principles and goals of the ARDC. Following dissemination, the ARDC will be conducting a series of engagements to develop and refine this strategy.
Annual Business Plan 2018 – 2019
The Annual Business Plan (ABP) has been developed for the 2018/19 financial period, within the context of the next 5 years. The plan addresses challenges presented in the 2016 National Research Infrastructure Roadmap, as well as consolidate and maintain continuity of the historical accomplishments of ANDS, Nectar and RDS.
Capital Implementation Plan
Following the 2018 commonwealth budget, the ARDC will receive $72.2m of capital investment over a 5 year funding period. The nature of any capital investment by the ARDC will be complex; it will be driven by the ARDC Strategic Plan and partly dependent on the plans of various partner organisations. This will necessitate a comprehensive planning process leading to an ARDC Capital Investment Plan that describes a planned investment over 5 years.
