Talking data and infrastructure

Have you registered? Get ready for the Australian Research Data Commons’ (ARDC) Data and Services and Storage and Compute Infrastructure Summits, during the 13th eResearch Australasia Conference, 21 – 25 October 2019.

It’s time to talk, engage, connect, and share ideas and best practise methods for storing, collecting, managing, finding, and reusing information from data intensive research. Let’s dive deep into understanding how new information centred research capabilities and communication technologies can help researchers to collaborate, generate new knowledge and speed up research while still maintaining a high quality.

The ARDC Summits and pre-conference workshops will kick-off the Conference week on Monday 21 October at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Summits are an opportunity to engage with colleagues that have been busy investigating topics, issues, current and future trends, gaps and requirements related to data, research storage and compute infrastructure as part of the ARDC Discovery Activities program. Don’t miss out, there is still time to register.

Rosie Hicks, the ARDC Chief Executive Officer, will be a keynote speaker on the opening day of the Conference. Rosie’s talk will examine terms such as sensitive data, FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable) data, artificial intelligence, machine learning and cloud and the specific challenges that prevent us from achieving the full impact of our research.

It is sure to be a great week with plenty of sessions to pique your interest. We hope to see you at the Summits, themed and Birds of a Feather sessions, as well as at our booth!
