As the Technical Cloud Project Manager, you will collaborate with the Biocommons Associate Director of Cyberinfrastructure, developing a technology architectural roadmap for the Biocommons Pathfinder, participating in architectural discussions and working with infrastructure partners to develop solutions to meet the architectural, functional, policy and organisational requirements of project partners.
The Technical Cloud Project Manager will manage the design and deployment of the infrastructure for the Pathfinder, ensure designed solutions conform to architectural requirements (Including sustainability, scalability and maintainability) and track and report on progress to project executives.
This position will be employed via the University of Queensland and can be located in either St Lucia, Brisbane or Caulfield, Melbourne. Please nominate which location you are applying for in your cover letter.
Our Ideal Candidate
As the ideal candidate, you will have experience leading complex technical projects including cloud application deployment, infrastructure evaluation and design, and integrations. You will hold a postgraduate qualification in Business Analysis or IT Architecture, or have an equivalent amount of experience in similar positions. You will have project management experience with experience using at least one project management methodology (E.g. PRINCE2, PMBoK and Agile) and an understanding of networking and integration technologies (E.g. VMWare, Docker, Openstack, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure and Google Cloud).

What We Can Offer
This is a full-time, fixed term position for 12 months at HEW level 8.
The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $96,466 – $108,318, plus super of up to 9.5%. The total FTE package will be in the range $105,630 – $118,608.
