Manager, Research Cloud Development & Operations

The ARDC is currently seeking an experienced professional for the role of Manager, Research Cloud Development & Operations to join our team.

The Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) is a transformational initiative that is enabling the Australian research community and industry access to nationally significant, leading edge data intensive eInfrastructure, platforms, skills and collections of high-quality data.  This role is based in the Melbourne office.

Position purpose

To lead the operations, maintenance, expansion and continual improvement of the Nectar Research Cloud services and manage a diverse team of expert cloud DevOps engineers.

The Manager, Research Cloud Development & Operations will:

  • Manage the operation and continuous improvement of the Research Cloud and related services, and the development and operation of new functionality and services
  • Manage the Core Services team
  • Coordinate the Nectar Research Cloud operations across Australia and New Zealand
  • Work with ARDC senior management on strategy, planning, and reporting
