Research in the Cloud; Advanced Services
Cloud infrastructure has changed the way compute, storage and data management is done worldwide. In Australia, two higher education organisations are bringing cloud services to all researchers. Australia's Academic and Research Network (AARNet) and ARDC, the NCRIS cloud infrastructure investment, are enabling researchers to do 21st Century research, collaboratively, cost-effectively and flexibly.
AARNet's (https://www.aarnet.edu.au/about-us) cloud services extend its network to enable research collaboration and innovation across universities and institutions both in Australia and internationally.
ARDC's cloud services, provided through the Nectar Research Cloud (https://nectar.org.au/cloudpage/) allows Australia's research community to store, access, and run data, remotely, rapidly and autonomously.
Together they enable Australian researchers to harness the data revolution.
