The ARDC is offering an 8-week online FAIR Data 101 course commencing in early May to help those seeking to develop their skills in enabling FAIR data in practice. By the end of the course, participants will:

  • Be familiar with the concept of FAIR data and its application in research
  • Be able to articulate the benefits, barriers, challenges and opportunities in making data FAIR
  • Have hands-on experience with techniques, services and tools (particularly those offered by the ARDC) for making data FAIR
  • Be aware of and able to identify best-practice examples and benefits of FAIR data management

The course will follow a blended webinar and discussion format and is offered at the beginner to intermediate level. It is aimed at individuals working with or expecting to work with research data, including researchers, publishers, librarians, research data stewards, research infrastructure providers and research support staff.

The ARDC recognises that adopting the FAIR data principles can drive research innovation, impact, and quality. We have been working tirelessly to lead the charge on making data FAIR through the establishment of tools and projects to help advance the way Australian researchers manage and share data.
