The FAIR Data 101 virtual course is now open for a second round. The overwhelming response from the Australian research community has provided an opportunity to remodel the course and make it available to a wider audience.
FAIR Data 101 Express is a 4-week compact version of the original 8-week course. It is designed for people who want to develop their skills enabling FAIR data principles in research. By the end of the course, participants will:
- be familiar with the concept of FAIR data and its application in research
- gain experience with techniques, services and tools (particularly those offered by ARDC) for making data FAIR
- be able to identify best practice examples of FAIR data management.
Who is this for?
The course is designed for individuals working with or expecting to work with research data, including researchers, publishers, librarians, research data stewards and research support staff, with an Australian focus.
How will it work?
Each week will focus on a different aspect of FAIR: Data that is Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable. The course will require approximately 3 hours per week comprising videos, live Q&A sessions, reading, exercises and quizzes.
All participants will receive a digital Certificate of Participation at the conclusion of the course. Participants in Australia will receive a printed certificate and a sticker.
