About the Event

The Visible Research Software IG was established to affect change: boosting the visibility of research software in scholarly communications. The IG seeks to engage research infrastructure managers, repository managers, research leaders, policy makers and other advocates with capacity to champion best practice and influence the adoption of policies, services and technologies in recognition of Research Software. The group is intentionally a knowledge-sharing space to disseminate resources and strategies to support increased visibility and recognition of research software.

It has been a year since the launch of the interest group and we are ready to get together again to share news in the research software space and ask questions. Our first year event is the “Ask Me Anything”, with a sequence of scheduled talks and plenty of time for group discussion.

  • Introduction of small victories
  • Short talks: FAIR for Research Software, FAIR workflows (TBA)
  • Group discussion
  • Work plan and next steps

For more information about the group, and to learn how to become a member, visit the Visible Research Software IG website.
