About the Event

The ARDC works to facilitate the development of leading-edge digital research infrastructure and processes, including trusted research environments (TREs). TREs are highly secure computing environments that provide remote access to sensitive data for analysis and research. They ensure data security and privacy while enabling analysts and researchers to conduct valuable studies on sensitive datasets without compromising confidentiality.

Hosted by the ARDC and Population Health Research Network (PHRN), Unlock is a community of practice (CoP) dedicated to making access to health and research data in Australia more secure, more efficient, and easier to navigate through TREs. We come together to share what’s working, talk through challenges and spark new ideas. We’ll be exploring how TREs can support the research community, and we welcome new voices, questions, and perspectives.

At this session, we’ll focus on SURE (Secure Unified Research Environment). SURE is a cutting‑edge, independently managed platform from the Sax Institute that empowers researchers and government and health data custodians to securely collaborate, access, share and unlock insights from sensitive health and research data across Australia.
