About the Event

The Wildlife Observatory of Australia – WildObs – is Australia’s national platform for processing and sharing wildlife camera data.

In this online webinar, the WildObs team will provide an introduction to the project, which aims to address the challenge of standardising and coordinating camera trap data nation-wide to provide actionable insights.

The WildObs platform will improve camera trap image processing using cloud-based AI species classifiers tailored to Australian wildlife.

Learn about the shared digital infrastructure being built, and an introduction to the data standards and tools that will contribute to long-term wildlife monitoring across Australia.

Anyone interested in long-term wildlife monitoring across Australia, camera trapping or with questions about WildObs.

This webinar will be relevant to people working in national, state, and local government environmental departments, environmental groups (NGOs, academics, or other managers), as well as anyone using camera traps.
