About the Event
Persistent Identifiers (PIDs) are a core component of national research and innovation infrastructure. They are key to world-class, global research infrastructure.
The ARDC is coordinating the collaborative development of a National PID Strategy and Roadmap to accelerate research and innovation and we’d welcome your input. Following on from the first workshop in February 2023, which explored the vision for a National PID Strategy, this workshop will review progress and explore next steps.
We invite stakeholders in the research and innovation sector from research organisations, government and the broader community who care about data.
Agenda
Topics for discussion include:
- update from the National PID Strategy Taskforce, chaired by Professor Keith Nugent, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research at the Australian National University (ANU)
- outputs of the 8 National PID Strategy Working Groups exploring use cases for grants, government, projects, organisations, observations, instruments, HERDC and Non-Traditional Research Outputs (NTROs)
- review and discussion of the draft National PID Strategy and Roadmap
- exploration of next steps.
Format
This is a hybrid workshop for in-person attendance at the ANU or online participation.
