About the Event

Does your computer struggle with your research workload? Do you want to access extra resources and share a computer with collaborators? Whether it’s data analysis, simulation or other computing work, the ARDC Nectar Research Cloud can help with your research by providing more computation power.

Nectar provides researchers with access to fast, secure and powerful cloud computers. During this free workshop, you will learn what Nectar is, how it could help you, and how to navigate the Nectar Dashboard.

Program

In this free, online workshop, you will get hands-on experience:

  • accessing support and documentation
  • navigating the Nectar Dashboard
  • setting up and launching a cloud computer
  • connecting to a cloud computer using the command line.

Attendance Requirements

No prior knowledge or experience is required. Prereading for beginners is provided.

Please include your university or institutional email address in your registration. This is required to log into the Nectar Dashboard.

Format

To participate in this online workshop, you will need Zoom installed on your computer. You can download Zoom for free. A Zoom link will be sent to registered participants prior to the training. Please note this session will not be recorded.
