About the Event

The ARDC is proudly sponsoring Social Sciences Week 2024! As part of #SSW2024, we’re hosting a webinar on social sciences research infrastructure.

Through the ARDC’s HASS and Indigenous Research Data Commons (HASS and Indigenous RDC), the Enhancing Metadata for Inclusive Research on Entrenched Disadvantage project is underway to improve the metadata of the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) Higher Education (HE) administrative data within Person Level Integrated Data Asset (PLIDA) (formerly known as Multi-Agency Data Integration Project (MADIP) data). The goal is to increase the ongoing utility of the data for researchers and analysts.

At this webinar, you’ll learn about developments in integrated administrative social science data (IASSD).

The Enhancing Metadata for Inclusive Research on Entrenched Disadvantage project is led by the Institute for Social Science Research (ISSR), The University of Queensland in collaboration with the:

  • ARDC
  • Australian Department of Education
  • ARC Centre of Excellence for Children and Families Over the Life Course (Life Course Centre)

Speakers

  • Professor Wojtek Tomaszewski, Deputy Director (Research) and Research Group Leader, ISSR
  • Dr Matthew Curry, Research Fellow, ISSR
  • Jenny Fewster, Director, HASS and Indigenous Research Data Commons, ARDC

Who Should Attend
