Expression of Interest
The Health Studies Australian National Data Asset (HeSANDA) program seeks to create a distributed data asset from the data outputs of health research projects (explicitly but not exclusively from the NHMRC Clinical Trials and Cohort Studies - CTCS - program). This asset is designed to support further research, meta-analysis, and clinical guideline development. To realise a health studies data commons, the program will have three streams. The first stream, the data development stream, is to capture initial consensus around the nature of the national data asset. This might include looking at data standards and quality, expectations around the nature and accessibility o f data "outputs" of health research projects. The next two streams of the program are around developing:
- a coherent distributed infrastructure
- culture and policy to address some of the broader enablers and obstacles of the technology and infrastructure initiative.
The data development stream provides an opportunity for interested parties to help define and co-design a national data asset. The ARDC is calling for expressions of interest (EoI) [PDF 287 KB] to participate in the first stage of the data development stream. Please complete the EoI form below if you are interested in helping to develop a national data asset.
